What the Nigerian Law School said
The school said the payment process runs through an automated online registration system. In that system, each payment is checked electronically with the Remita Retrieval Reference generated on Remita.
Management said this method has made payment validation clear and direct for most applicants; 7,267 students, said to be over 90 per cent, have completed their registration.
Why some students had payment validation problems
The Nigerian Law School said a small number of applicants ran into validation issues. It listed the causes clearly.
These issues came from:
- multiple payments made in instalments
- underpayment of fees
- payments made under different names
- reuse of RRRs that had already been used
- claims of payment without verifiable evidence
That list gives the picture Plainly; the problem did not affect most students, but it did affect some applicants.
What affected students should do
The school advised affected students to contact Remita for help. It also asked students facing payment difficulties to verify their payment status quickly through their Campus channels.
Registration deadline extended to 9 April 2026
