RIVCOHSMAT Admission Form 2026/2027

Rivers State College of Health Science and Management Technology, RIVCOHSMAT, has invited applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into its diploma and certificate programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session.

The notice covers the available courses, entry requirements, application steps, exam details, and contact lines. For candidates planning to apply, the dates and subject requirements sit at the centre of the process; every part matters.

Available programmes and entry requirements

School of Environmental Health Technology

Programme: Health Promotion and Education (Diploma)
Duration: 2 years

Requirements: Five credit passes in GCE, SSCE, NECO, WASC, or Teachers Grade II. These must include English Language, Mathematics, Biology or Health Science, and any other two science subjects from Chemistry, Nutrition, Physics, General Sciences, or Integrated Science.

School of Pharmaceutical Technology

Programme: Pharmacy Technician (Certificate)
Duration: 3 years

Requirements: Five O-level credit passes in WASC, GCE, NECO, or SSCE including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology at not more than two sittings.

School of Social Work

Programme: Diploma in Social Work
Duration: 2 years

Requirements: Five O-level credit passes in WASC, GCE, SSCE, or NECO including English Language, Mathematics, and any other three subjects from Civic Education, Biology, Economics, Literature, Geography, CRK or Arts, Commerce, or Government or History at not more than two sittings.

School of Dental Health Science

Programme: Anesthetic Technician (Diploma)
Duration: 3 years

Requirements: Five credit passes in WASC, NECO, SSCE, or GCE including Mathematics, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, and English Language at not more than two sittings.

School of Health Information Management

Programme A: Health Information Management Technician (HIMT)
Duration: 3 years

Requirements: A minimum of four credits and one pass in relevant subjects at not more than two sittings. The subjects must include English, Mathematics, Biology, Physics or Chemistry, and one other relevant subject.

Programme B: Hospital or Health Administration (Diploma)
Duration: 2 years

Requirements: Five O-level credit passes in Mathematics, English, Economics or Commerce, Government, and Biology or Health Science at not more than two sittings.

Age requirement for applicants

Applicants must be 16 years of age or older by September 2026.

How to apply for RIVCOHSMAT admission

Candidates are to register online through the RIVCOHSMAT application portal.

The College directs applicants to click on “2026-2027 Entrance Admission Application” and pay the application fee of N15,300 only, inclusive of pin.

After payment, a Candidate Identification Slip carrying the examination number will be generated online.

RIVCOHSMAT application dates

Candidates should note these dates:

• Commencement of sale: 25 March 2026
• Application deadline: 11 June 2026

Entrance examination details

Shortlisted applicants will sit for an entrance examination.

The date and venue will be sent by SMS to the telephone contacts provided during registration. That means each applicant needs to keep the registered phone line active and close; the College will use it for exam notice.
