The College of Nursing Specialty Programmes at Benue State University Teaching Hospital (BSUTH), Makurdi Campus, is now selling admission forms for the 2025/2026 academic session. These courses train Registered Nurses for advanced roles in specialist fields.
Available programmes
- Nephrology Nursing – 12 months
- Ophthalmic Nursing – 12 months
- Mental Health / Psychiatry Nursing – 18 months
Check the entry requirements
To apply, you must meet all the following:
- Hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) certificate
- Have a current practising licence
- Have five credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Biology, and Chemistry
- Acceptable from WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB
- Maximum of two sittings
- Combination of WAEC and NECO is allowed
- Have at least one year of post-qualification experience
- Show approval for full-time study from your employer

- Aptitude test and interview: Monday, 8th September 2025
