Federal Polytechnic Oko has opened applications for the post of Director, Medical Services. The successful candidate will take charge of the Medical Centre, report to the Rector, and coordinate subordinate staff; the advert also says the Rector may assign other Duties.
Main duties
The Director, Medical Services will:
- take overall charge of the Medical Centre
- report to the Rector for the smooth running of the Medical Centre
- coordinate the work and activities of subordinate staff at the Medical Centre
- perform other duties assigned by the Rector
Qualifications and experience
The Polytechnic states that each applicant must hold an MBBS from a recognised medical school and must be registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria.
The advert accepts either of these routes:
- 15 years of post-qualification cognate experience
- a postgraduate medical qualification in medicine with at least 12 years of post-qualification cognate experience
The applicant must also:
- present a current practising licence
- be ICT compliant
- be able to work under pressure and meet short deadlines
- be no more than 55 years old at the time of assuming duty
Tenure, salary and conditions of service
The appointment runs for a single tenure of five years. The Conditions of Service are the same as those in other Federal Polytechnics; the salary grade is CONMESS 7.

The deadline is six weeks from the publication date of the advert, given as approximately 21 April 2026.
