Fountain University Gains Approval for 7 New Programmes

The National Universities Commission (NUC) has approved seven new undergraduate programmes for Fountain University, Osogbo.

The approval takes effect from the 2024/2025 academic session.

Approved Programmes

The new courses include the following:

• B.A. Ed. Islamic Studies
• B.A. Ed. Arabic Studies
• B.A. Ed. English
• B.A. Ed. Economics
• B.A. Ed. Computer Science
• B.LIS Library Information Science
• B.Sc. Food Science

Basis for the Approval

The approval was communicated in a letter from the National Universities Commission.

The decision followed an assessment by expert panels.

The panels reviewed the human and material resources available at the university.

The findings confirmed the readiness of Fountain University to run the programmes.
