Reasons for the Decision
According to a memo signed by the Registrar, Alhaji Abubakar Mijinyawa, FCIA, the 60% and 40% payment structure caused problems for the University portal.
The University has also assured students that the Benevolent Fund will assist those in need.
Refunds for Students
About 1,503 students have received refunds for registration fees.
These students had already paid their fees before their NELFund loans were processed.
The Bursar, Malam Hassan Balarabe, CNA, confirmed that 1,920 students successfully applied for the NELFund.
All refunds were handled promptly once the NELFund disbursements reached the University.
