The Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) programme at UNIBEN is an intensive academic course designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary for higher education. This programme is equivalent to the Advanced Level GCE, the Old Higher School Certificate (HSC), or the IJMB. Students who complete the JUPEB programme successfully gain direct entry into the 200 level of their chosen degree programmes.
Programme Structure
Upon enrolment, students will undergo rigorous academic training, focusing on three subject combinations relevant to their intended field of study. These subjects are divided into four courses per subject, with students completing a total of twelve courses by the end of the programme. Additionally, students must take part in at least two general studies courses, one per semester. The programme culminates in examinations for each course, with cumulative results determining the final grades.
