The University of Uyo has invited qualified candidates to apply for its 2026/2027 Post UTME and Direct Entry screening exercise for undergraduate admission.
Candidates who selected the University of Uyo as their first choice during the 2026/2027 JAMB Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination and scored at least 150 may apply for the Post UTME screening. Candidates who selected the University as their first choice for the 2026/2027 JAMB Direct Entry application have also been invited for screening.

Who is eligible for UNIUYO Post UTME screening?
The Post UTME screening is open to candidates who meet the stated UTME admission conditions. The University has stated the key eligibility points clearly.
Eligible UTME candidates are those who:
- chose the University of Uyo as first choice;
- sat for the 2026/2027 JAMB UTME;
- scored a minimum of 150;
- will be at least 16 years old by 30 September 2026;
- will complete the online screening registration before the closing date.
The age requirement affects every applicant. Only candidates who are 16 years old or above by 30 September 2026 are eligible to apply.
Who is eligible for UNIUYO Direct Entry screening?
Direct Entry candidates who chose the University of Uyo as first choice during the 2026/2027 JAMB Direct Entry application are eligible for the screening exercise.
Such candidates will also be required to scan and upload the original copy of their higher academic qualification. The uploaded document must be clear and must match the candidate's application details.
How much is the UNIUYO screening fee?
The screening fee is N2,000.00 only. The fee is non-refundable.
Eligible candidates will make payment through the University portals. Payment will be completed through the Remita platform after a Remita Retrieval Reference has been generated.
How will candidates apply for UNIUYO Post UTME or Direct Entry screening?
Candidates will complete the application through the University admissions portal. The process begins through the University of Uyo e-portals or directly through the UNIUYO admissions portal.
Account creation on the admissions portal
First-time users will be required to create an account. The candidate should open the admissions portal, click "Apply Now", select "Create Account", fill the required information and submit the form.
After submission, the candidate will verify the email address used during registration. The account will become active after email verification.
Payment through Remita
After login, the candidate will move to the "Application Fee" section. The correct application type, either Post UTME or Direct Entry, must be selected before the Remita Retrieval Reference is generated.
The candidate may pay online or at a bank branch with the RRR. After payment has been made, the candidate will return to the portal and confirm the payment.
Completion of the application form
After payment confirmation, the candidate will move to the "Application Form" section. The candidate will click "Start New Application", fill the required details and submit the completed form.
The Bio data form must be filled correctly. Wrong or inconsistent Bio data will lead to automatic disqualification.
Printing of acknowledgement slip
After submission, the candidate will print the 2026/2027 Screening Exercise Slip. This slip will serve as evidence that the online screening registration has been completed.
What documents and details are required?
Candidates will be expected to provide correct personal and academic details during registration. The University has also stated specific requirements that candidates must follow.
- The Bio data form must be filled correctly and appropriately.
- Direct Entry candidates must upload the original copy of their higher academic qualification.
- Candidates must submit their completed Bio data forms online.
- The Bio data form should be submitted only once.
- Candidates must be at least 16 years old by 30 September 2026.
- Candidates must upload their O'level result on JAMB CAPS not later than 31 August 2026.
Candidates who enter O'level results on JAMB CAPS should click "REFRESH" after entering the result. This will help confirm that the upload is reflected on CAPS.
Can candidates with Awaiting Result apply?
Candidates with Awaiting Result may apply. The University has stated that Awaiting Result candidates are allowed to take part in the application process.
Such candidates must still follow the stated screening instructions. They must also comply with the JAMB CAPS O'level upload requirement before the stated deadline.
Who is exempted from the Post UTME screening exercise?
Some categories of candidates are exempted from the Post UTME screening exercise. The exemption covers:
- foreign candidates;
- inmates of correctional centres;
- blind candidates;
- deaf candidates.
These candidates remain covered by the stated admission process as applicable. The exemption only concerns the Post UTME screening exercise.
What can lead to disqualification?
A candidate who uploads wrong or inconsistent Bio data will be automatically disqualified. The University has made this condition clear.
A candidate who fails to register for the Post UTME screening exercise will not be considered for admission, except where the candidate belongs to an exempted category listed by the University.
What is the deadline for UNIUYO Post UTME registration?
The closing date for registration is Friday, 7 August 2026.
Candidates who plan to apply should complete the online process before the deadline. Late registration has not been provided for in the notice.
