The National Open University of Nigeria, NOUN, has announced the schedule for its 15th Convocation Ceremony. The programme runs for two days; it opens with a pre-convocation lecture on Friday, 17 April 2026 and ends with the main convocation ceremony on Saturday, 18 April 2026.
The invitation came from the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Uduma Oji Uduma, on behalf of the Governing Council, University Senate and the entire University Community.

NOUN 15th Convocation Ceremony Dates
NOUN has set aside two days for the convocation programme. Each day carries a separate event, with its own time, venue and role in the ceremony.
Day 1: Pre-convocation lecture
The pre-convocation lecture will take place on Friday, 17 April 2026, at 11:00 am.
The venue is the NOUN Conference Centre, University Main Campus, Jabi, Abuja.
Chief Kanu Godwin Agabi, SAN, CON, former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, will deliver the lecture.
The theme for the lecture is "Nigeria Against Corruption".
Professor Kabiru Bala, FNIOB, FCIArb, C.BuildE, former Vice-Chancellor, ABU, Zaria, will serve as chairman.
Those who will follow the event online can use the NOUN pre-convocation livestream.
Day 2: Convocation ceremony and award of degrees
The main convocation ceremony will hold on Saturday, 18 April 2026, at 10:00 am.
The venue is the Convocation Arena, University Main Campus, Jabi, Abuja.
At the ceremony, NOUN will award Bachelor's degrees, postgraduate diplomas, master's degrees, doctorate degrees and honorary doctorate degrees.
