The university announced the development through a statement issued by its Public Relations Officer, Ademola Adesoji.
NUC Grants Full Accreditation to 29 UNIOSUN Programmes
The approval came through an official communication signed by the NUC Director of Accreditation, Engr. Abraham Chundusu, on behalf of the Commission’s Executive Secretary.
The exercise covered several disciplines across the university. Each programme presented secured full accreditation status, giving UNIOSUN a 100 per cent success rate from the exercise.
That is the main story.
Academic Fields Covered by the Accreditation
The 29 accredited programmes cut across key fields of study at Osun State University.
They include:
- Administration and Management
- Allied Health Sciences
- Environmental Sciences
- Arts and Humanities
- Computing
- Education
- Sciences
- Social Sciences
The result reflects the status of the programmes presented during the October/November 2025 accreditation exercise. It also places attention on the university’s facilities, staff strength, research capacity and stable academic setting.
Vice-Chancellor Reacts to the Accreditation Result
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Odunayo Clement Adebooye, thanked the NUC for the confidence shown in Osun State University.
He said the full success recorded by UNIOSUN reflects years of planning, quality checks and steady investment in academic standards. He also described the result as another milestone for the university as it continues to pursue wider relevance and strong academic standing.
His response placed the credit on many hands.
Professor Adebooye linked the result to the joint work of staff, students, the Governing Council, alumni and other partners. He also acknowledged the support of the Osun State Government under Governor Ademola Adeleke.
What UNIOSUN Says Supported the Result
The university administration has placed attention on teaching quality, research, infrastructure, digital growth and steady academic activities.
According to the statement, these areas helped the university secure a positive result during the accreditation exercise. Since Professor Adebooye assumed office, the university has also recorded progress in programme growth, infrastructure, research output, staff growth and public visibility.
UNIOSUN has continued to earn recognition for academic stability.
Why the Accreditation Result Matters
The latest accreditation result is expected to strengthen the value of certificates awarded by Osun State University.
It is also expected to support the university’s standing as a preferred choice for quality university education in Nigeria. For applicants checking schools, and for current students already building their academic records, full accreditation across all presented programmes gives a clearer sense of trust.
That trust matters.
