The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the commencement of the 2025 JAMB Direct Entry Registration, a pivotal opportunity for individuals holding degrees, diplomas, or A-level certificates aiming to join a university degree program. JAMB Direct Entry Eligibility
To be eligible for Direct Entry, you must meet specific academic qualifications. These include:
- A minimum of O’level credit pass in five (5) SSSC subjects at not more than two sittings with at least two prescribed subjects for each programme (course of study) at the Principal or Advanced level.
- Two passes [in prescribed subjects for each (programme) course of study] at the A’Level Examination awarded by IJMB, Cambridge, JUPEB or Institute of Baccalaureate with three other credit passes in the SSCE.
- Credit passes in two major subjects in the NCE with three other credit passes in SSSC, NTC/NBC (mainly for Education /Technical programmes)
- Minimum of credit grade in University/National Diploma or National Innovation Diploma with the appropriate O’level requirements. All submitted Advanced Level Qualifications are to be verified by a special committee, and any fake result shall attract prosecution.
Accepted Qualifications for Registration
Note that only 10 qualifications/certificates will be accepted for the registration process. These include:
- University Degree
- University Diploma/NFLD/NALD
- ND/NID
- HND
- NCE
- A-Level Certificate from IJMB, JUPEB, NABTEB-ANBC, NABTEB-ANTC, NABTEB-GCE A-Level (2015-2021)
- Foreign First Degree
- Cambridge A-Level
- International GCE A-Level
- International Baccalaureate (foreign certificates only)
How to Apply for 2024 JAMB Direct Entry
2024 Direct Entry (DE) Application Sales:
- Start: Monday, 10th March 2025
- End: Monday, 7th April 2025
- Location: Board’s State and Zonal Offices
Fees:
- Direct Entry (DE) – ₦5,700
Group Registration: Not allowed.
Registration Requirements:
- Unique Mobile Phone Number: Required for registration; only usable by one candidate.
- National Identification Number (NIN) Submission: Text “NIN” followed by 11-digit NIN to 55019 or 66019.
- Profile Code: 10-character code received on the same phone number.
- Phone Number Linking: Used for all communication related to 2025 and future applications.
- Profile Code and e-PIN: Present these at any JAMB accredited CBT Centre for registration.
- Biometric and Photograph Capture: Mandatory for completing the application.
- Self-Service Option: Available for computer-literate candidates at JAMB offices/PRCs.
