LASU Registrar and Bursar vacancies for 2026

Lagos State University, LASU, has announced that the positions of Registrar and Bursar will be vacant in July 2026. The Governing Council has started the process of appointing new officers for both posts and has invited applications from qualified candidates.

About Lagos State University

The notice states that Lagos State University was established in 1983 by the Enabling Law of Lagos State of Nigeria. The university was set up for the advancement of learning, the pursuit of academic excellence, and the manpower needs of Lagos State.

The same notice says LASU currently has sixteen faculties, six schools, nine centres, and three institutes spread across four campuses.

LASU Registrar position

The university says the Registrar is a Principal Officer and answers to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day administration of the affairs of the university, except financial matters. The Registrar is also the Head of the University Registry.

The appointment for either post runs for a term of four years. The selected officer may be reappointed for one second term of four years only.

Candidates applying for the post of Registrar or Bursar must not be above sixty years of age by July 2026.

Salary and allowances

The notice states that the remuneration for the Registrar or Bursar includes Basic Salary of CONUNASS 15 and other benefits and allowances that apply to both posts in Nigerian public universities, as may be approved by the Governing Council of Lagos State University.
