MDCN Grants LASU College of Medicine Full Accreditation for 5 Years
The Lagos State University College of Medicine (LASUCOM) has been given full accreditation by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
The accreditation status was contained in a letter signed by the Registrar of the Body, Dr. T.A.B Sanusi dated 5th April, 2022, part of which reads: “I have the pleasure to convey Council’s approval for your University to be re-accredited for the next five (5) years with effect from January, 2022.”
Recall that the accreditation visitation team of the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria was on the LASUCOM Campus, Ikeja between 26th and 27th January, 2022 to conduct an assessment the College’s programmes.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, mni, has expressed her delight at the accreditation, noting that it was justification of the efforts put into making the College the best in the country.
