UMTH College of Nursing Sciences Post UTME Form 2025/2026

Some news trickles in softly, but carries weight for many young people dreaming of a nursing career. The College of Nursing Sciences at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital has thrown open its doors again, calling for applications into the 2025/2026 ND/HND Nursing programme. The window is short, just from 21 August to 4 September 2025. If you blink too long, it may close.

The Programme At A Glance

This is no casual course. It is a steady four–year run, eight semesters in all, ending with a Higher National Diploma in General Nursing Sciences. Everything here has the blessing of the Nursing Council of Nigeria and the National Board for Technical Education. In short, the structure is solid, and the future bright for those who make it in.

Who Can Apply?

Not everyone, only those who sat for the 2025 UTME. A score of 150 is the line in the sand. That is the first gate. After that, there is more. The O’Level side of things needs to be strong too.

• Five credits in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
• WAEC or NECO, not more than two sittings.
• NABTEB and NBATS results may count, if they match.

And there is the matter of age. Applicants should be at least 16 years old but not above 24. A slim bracket, but clear.

For those who meet the mark, the road begins on the JAMB portal. Applicants need to request a change of institution and course of study. It is not enough to just click apply, both UTME and O’Level results must be uploaded and accepted there. Without that, the door stays shut.
