The Ekiti State Scholarship Board has announced scholarship and bursary awards for Ekiti State students in Nigerian tertiary schools for the 2025/2026 academic session. Forms are free and submitted Online through the Board's portal.
Application dates
Applications run from Monday, 9 February 2026 to Friday, 27 February 2026. The Board will not accept late forms; that deadline stands.

Eligibility for the bursary award
For the undergraduate bursary award:
- Applicants must be in 2nd year and above.
- Applicants must have WASSCE/NECO with at least five credits, including English Language and Mathematics, at one sitting.
Eligible student categories listed include:
- Undergraduates
- Polytechnics
- College of Education
- Schools of Nursing/Midwifery
- Colleges of Health Technology
Eligibility for the scholarship award
Undergraduate scholarship award
For the undergraduate scholarship award:
- Applicants must be in 2nd year and above.
- Applicants must have WASSCE/NECO with at least five credits, including English Language and Mathematics, at one sitting.
- Applicants must meet the stated performance requirement in their current school: minimum CGPA of 4.0 for University or the equivalent of Second Class (Upper Division) 2:1; 3.50 for Polytechnics and NCE.
Master's Degree and Ph.D scholarship awards
For Master's Degree and Ph.D scholarship awards:
- Applicants must have a minimum of Second Class (Upper Division) at undergraduate level.
- For Ph.D scholarship, a distinction in the Master's Degree is also required.
- For Ph.D scholarship, any applicant with a first degree below Second Class (Upper Division) is not eligible, even with a Master's distinction.
Handicapped Scholarship Award (Physically Challenged)
Physically Challenged students in tertiary schools are qualified for the Handicapped Scholarship Award. The advert lists coverage across University, Polytechnic, College of Education, School of Nursing/Midwifery, College of Health Tech and Postgraduates.
Who is not eligible
The Board states that students on Part-Time and Sandwich courses are not eligible for bursary or scholarship awards.
Submission deadline
Applicants are to complete and submit the online application process on or before Friday, 27 February 2026; late application forms will not be accepted by the Board.
