The University of Delta (UNIDEL) Academic Calendar for the 2024/2025 session has been officially released.
This calendar outlines important dates for both the first and second semesters of the 2024/2025 academic session, as well as the first semester of the 2025/2026 academic session.
UNIDEL Academic Calendar
First Semester 2024/2025
- 19/08/2024 – 21/08/2024: Post-UTME Screening for aspiring students.
- 28/08/2024 – 30/09/2024: Admissions exercise for 2024/2025 session.
- 29/08/2024 – 07/10/2024: Payment of acceptance fees, online and physical clearance, payment of school charges, and registration for old and new students.
- 15/09/2024: Old students return for the 2024/2025 academic session.
- 23/09/2024: Lectures commence for 2024/2025 academic session (12 weeks).
- 24/09/2024 – 26/09/2024: Orientation exercise for new students.
- 11/10/2024: Matriculation ceremony.
- 20/12/2024: Christmas break begins.
- 05/01/2025: Students return to residence after the Christmas break.
- 17/01/2025: First semester lectures end.
- 20/01/2025 – 24/01/2025: Revision period.
- 27/01/2025 – 14/02/2025: GST, Entrepreneurship, and other examinations.
- 15/02/2025 – 28/02/2025: First semester break (two weeks).

Second Semester 2024/2025
- 02/03/2025: Students return to residence for the second semester.
- 03/03/2025: Second semester lectures begin (13 weeks).
- 17/03/2025 – 21/03/2025: Students Union week.
- 30/05/2025: Second semester lectures end.
- 02/06/2025 – 06/06/2025: Revision period (one week).
- 09/06/2025 – 20/06/2025: GST, Entrepreneurship, and other examinations.
- 21/06/2025 – 04/08/2025: End of session break (6 weeks).
